Connecting your shower hose the right way takes just a minute and ensures a secure, leak-free fit.

Which end goes where

The conical (cone-shaped) nut should always attach to the hand shower. This lets the hand shower sit smoothly and snugly in the holder.

Check the washers first

Your hose comes with a rubber washer pre-installed inside each fitting, and that washer is what creates the watertight seal. Before tightening, make sure each washer is present and sitting flat. Spare washers are included in your extras envelope if you need them. You don't need thread seal tape on these connections — the washer does the sealing, not the threads.

Avoid kinks

Both hose fittings free-spin, so you don't need to rotate the hose itself as you tighten either end. Connect one end first, then let the hose hang naturally before connecting the other. Keeping the hose untwisted protects the inner lining and keeps water flowing freely.
