How much clearance do I need between my shower arm and the ceiling for the handheld?Updated 3 hours ago
Minimum: 8.5 inches from the top of the shower arm to the ceiling.
Recommended: 9 inches if your setup allows.
Why this matters
The 8.5" minimum corresponds to the swing radius of the handheld when it pivots upward in the bracket. Anything less and the handheld will contact the ceiling as you angle it.
The extra half inch (9" total) gives you a small installation buffer so the handheld moves comfortably through its full range of motion without scraping or catching.
How to measure
Measure from the top of the shower arm (where it exits the wall) straight up to the ceiling. If that distance is 8.5" or more, you're set.
If you have less than 8.5" of clearance
The handheld won't be able to pivot fully upward in the bracket. Reach out to our team and we can help you figure out the best configuration for your space.
