Gather Your Materials:
- You’ll need a new filter cartridge (compatible with any shower head), and ensure you have silicone O-rings if needed.
Remove the Old Cartridge:
- Hold the shower head filter housing steady.
- Twist the bottom half of the housing to detach it from the shower head.
- Take out the old cartridge and inspect the filter screen for buildup.
Tip for Extended Use:
- To prolong the life of the filter, you can rotate the cartridge after three months to utilize both sides.
Prepare for Installation:
- Before inserting the new cartridge, check that the silicone O-rings are intact and seated properly. These prevent leaks.
Insert the New Cartridge:
- Place the new filter cartridge into the housing.
- Reattach the bottom half by threading it back onto the shower head.
Flush the System:
- Run water through the system for at least one minute to clear any debris before using it.
Check for Leaks:
- Ensure there are no leaks around the O-rings. If there are issues, check that they are properly seated or replace them as necessary.
