Rain Shower HeadUpdated 3 months ago
Below you'll find the installation guide for the Rain Shower Head, along with an installation video.
Installation Steps:
Remove the Old Shower Head:
- Start by unscrewing the old shower head. You can often do this by hand, but if it’s stuck, use an adjustable wrench. Turn it clockwise until it's free.
Clean the Shower Arm Threads:
- After removing the old head, clean the threads of the shower arm. Remove any debris and old Teflon tape. Check for corrosion or damage—if the threads are in poor condition, consider replacing the shower arm.
Apply New Teflon Tape:
- Wrap new Teflon tape around the shower arm threads. Apply it in a clockwise direction (the same direction you’ll turn the new shower head) for a secure seal. Use about four to five turns, then smooth it out.
Install the Rain Shower Head:
- Attach the solid metal rain shower head to the shower arm. The connector has a pre-installed rubber washer for an extra seal. Hand-tighten the shower head in a clockwise direction.
Tighten with a Wrench:
- Once it’s hand-tightened, use an adjustable wrench to secure it further. Protect the finish with a cloth to prevent scratches.
Test for Leaks:
- Turn on the water and check for leaks at the threaded fitting. If you notice any leaks, tighten it a bit more. If leaks persist, uninstall, reapply Teflon tape, and reinstall the shower head.
